Lax Appeal?

Although there’s a lot of pressure on the planning system to deliver more housing land (Where did that housing White Paper get to? Latest report is that it may be released on 6th February), it seems that the times required for planning appeals are getting longer.  It’s consistent with an overestretched housing supply network (contractors, builders, consultants, planners etc.) having too much to do with too little resources.

The CLG Select Committee have been benefitting from the knowledge and insights of my colleague Michael Ball on the capacity of the housebuilding sector.  You can read about it or watch it here. This is the latest ‘source’ on a long list of inquiries, proposals and reports on housing supply in England (really London and the rich, south-east of England).  Always good to be up to date…
